First Greeting – To You, Who Found Cherryverse

Hello. I’m Cherry, a poet.

 

For a long time,

I wanted to write “words chosen by someone.”

But as time went by,

I came to realize something:

it is very unlikely that this work

will ever guarantee my livelihood or

bring me any real fame.

​

 

Even so,

I am still writing poetry.

​

 

Even in the moments

when I decided to give up,

the notes that quietly piled up and

the sentences that refused to be erased

eventually led me back here.

​

 

Now, this digital art web poetry book, Cherryverse,

has become my new studio.

​

 

The poems, images, and music gathered

here are the deeply personal records of one person.

​

 

Still, I hope that someday

they might overlap with someone else’s heart and

become a small comfort, even for a brief moment.

​
