riding a unicycle,

a woman from the north.

Following the scent

of pink peaches

down a path of flowers.

​

 

With just nine kilometers to go,

an endless desert

suddenly unfolds

before their eyes.

​

 

Under the blazing sun,

their desperate longing

for an oasis

grows.

​

 

Beneath a rainbow-colored tent,

the circus

begins.

​

 

The lively sound

of jazz piano

fills the air;

their hearts

flutter with excitement.

​

 

Heat rises

from the burning sand.

​

 

The unicycle wobbles,

on the verge

of collapse.

​

 

Above,

the sky darkens

to black,

and a white bird

takes flight—

​

 

a sign

of disaster:

Typhoon Number Nine.

​

 

A fierce storm rages;

after a sleepless night,

silence

outside the window.

​

 

Left behind,

utterly alone:

​

 

a single wheel.

​

 

The unicycle

trembles,

all alone.
